The Lover
I exist in all times, all realms, all planes,
Riding in sorrow on horseback or trains.
I am the shining warrior whose heart has been lost,
For I dared to love and my heart was the cost.
I have betrayed gods, friends, those of my kind,
For I believed in my love, in my heart and my mind.
I have followed my love, where'er it has led,
And if it has not left me to lie 'mongst the dead,
Everywhere I turn there is but hatred and scorn.
Eternally must I wander, alone and forlorn.
I exist in all times, all realms, all planes,
Riding in sorrow on horseback or trains.
I am the shining warrior whose heart has been lost,
For I dared to love and my heart was the cost.
